A means of attaching number plates to motor vehicles and the like wherein said number plate cannot be removed without damage to said number plate that is clearly evident and includes the fastening devices and the means to allow access to release the fastening devices by first bending or distorting the said number plate preferable along predetermined fracture or bend lines inscribed into the structure of said number plate to allow access to the number plate removal means.
