The process of mechanically joining a waterwheel to a axial fan to produce large volume adjustable, high velocity airflow. The waterwheel may be in any stream , race or moving body of water. The airflow produced is to be used for recreational purposes in a vertical wind tunnel (free or recirculating) and for creating gravity waves in a large body of water for recreational, professional or training surfing purposes. The air may also be used to form air curtains around the surfing basin and also direct winds from the shore towards the waves for calming effects.
